The great Professor Hardwigg makes his return from the journey seen to be impossible. The journey can no longer be called impossible as it has now been done by the amazing professor. He and his nephew and a guide will return sometime today as announced from nearby cities. Many artefacts he will bring are hoped by the scientists in the area as he is supposedly the only one who had done it all.

Questions will be shot at the professor as there is much doubt by many that he actually did make it to the centre. He would have to bring a lot of proof from the world below to prove his journey. With his knowledge that he hopefully brings, the world can benefit and make many more advances. This man will go down in history.

I disagree with the storm being in their best interest. Harry did not want to pursue with the journey because the boat did not seem that efficient to uphold against the central sea. The Professor wanted to continue but had no intention of facing the storm voluntarily.

There was once a time that I went through a difficult moment. It was me and my father on a long bike ride through this small forest on the edge of downtown. We were stupid enough not to bring water or a phone. Our ride continued for hours thinking that we knew our way and eventually it got dark the trail disappeared. We were officially lost. We decided to continue forward. No turning, just a forward motion and hopefully we would get somewhere. I started to get a headache and my father said this is the start of dehydration. He kept telling me to hold in there and well find our way. Finally we made it out to a road that was familiar. Fortunately my uncle’s house was close by and we stopped there for a drink and headed back home with a bottle of water following roads we knew. The entire trip was almost a full day.

A great professor and his nephew along with a guide travel to the centre of the earth to discover along the way teeth marks engraved in iron. Not much was known by the professor as to which animal or even species this may have come from. The size of the teeth shows that the species is extremely large compared to anything in current existence as well as sharp, indicating the possibility of it being a carnivore. All that is clearly known is that there was life in that area to the time where that location was at the surface. Teeth marks look “unidentifiable” so states the professor. He claims that this is clear evidence to life on earth before humans.

Being underground for six weeks, probably over a hundred miles deep into the earth, would have me thinking about a lot of things. The first thing that would come to my head is the question of whether what we are doing is worth the journey or whether it is actually possible to the centre of the earth. Also I would be thinking about ways in which I can try to convince the Professor that his theory of going to the centre of the earth is practically impossible. I do not want to travel to our death were I would assume there are layers of lava at the point we wish to journey to. And I would not want to waste effort into realizing at that point, our end, and attempt the journey back and die halfway because of no food or water.

Another thought that would be constantly be running through my head would be the fear of the roof of the cave coming down on me or whether a cave in would occur and I would be stuck halfway down in the earth to rot and die. That would probably be the worst fear because one strike on the cave wall can cause a shift between the boulders and possibly entirely collapse.

Despite the professor saying “All is over” to Hans, he has not given up the expedition. He intends to continue as they have found a stream that they will follow down into the earth. It will provide them nourishment as they travel. He says “All is over” to Hans probably in the meaning that all his problems are over and he is saved. He was found and now regrouped with the professor and the guide and the part of being lost is now over.

His motivation came when Hans used a crowbar to break through the rock wall and discovers a water jet or stream. He sees that this stream should flow somewhere and can possibly lead them deeper to a larger body of water. And where there is water there should be life. This has the professor working now with Hans’ idea to hurry them deeper and deeper.

I admire the Professor’s willingness in continuing his journey despite the fact that the water is scarce and chance of survival is being narrowed down. It shows his true dedication in following through with what he intends in his mind. His goal is set and he will not stop until it is completed. This is good in a person because when you set your mind to do something, you shouldn’t deviate from what you want. If you can’t keep to a straight want, then you won’t have the true enjoyment in what has occurred.

Even though I may like when a person is dedicated, I would have reacted negatively to the Professor’s decision. The fact that I was going into an unknown place, first ever travelled, with little water in my possession would make me turn around on the spot and walk back. That’s probably how I would react in that situation. I have so much to look forward to and at that point I would be making a decision which was that if I were continue, I could possibly never come back and lose everything. I have to put all points of logic before pursuing my needs that may risk my life.

The most beautiful sight that I have ever seen was the view of the Ka’aba from the top floor of the surrounding structure. A religious wonder enclosed by five million people during certain time of the year. The first time I saw the Ka’aba was at a horizon level view. It was a lot larger than what I had imagined. I tried not to look at it until I got pretty close to the Holy structure. Then as soon as my eyes laid sight on the Ka’aba, I was in shock. It felt like a dream. I tried to wake myself up because I really thought I was dreaming but when I realized that I wasn’t, I started to cry.

The view of the Ka’aba from a higher point was even more breathtaking. I would sit there for almost an hour every day, during my stay in mecca, staring down at the millions of people that circled the structure. I felt so happy to see people together. No one cared about the ethnicity of one another. People stood side by side, one in front of the other, in a continuous motion. A question would speak in my head asking why Muslims can’t be united around the world just as they are united in this area. A simple unity of religion can cause wonderful changes in the world.

Poem :-

First steps across the marble floor

Is this the great place that I now see

Passing through extremely tall doors

I’ve only seen this place on TV

I would dream of this moment night and day

The moment I’d finally get to see

A structure rebuilt from the Prophet’s time

My dreams would soon become reality

First glimpse of the Holy Structure

I pinch myself to see if I’m asleep

My eyes begin to water

I have three weeks left to sit there and weep.

Harry’s theories have been advanced a little where he says that the earth was first all green and high in grass lands. This has been theory revised and scientists concluded that the earth was first molten lava. Then as what Harry exclaimed, the earth was covered by a foggy atmosphere. And then scientists say that this caused the earth to cool down and form a land. The land then cracked and volcanoes erupted and more land was created. Scientists also say that there was no water on earth when it was formed. This contradicts Harry’s facts because without water there would be no plant life.

Scientists concluded that water came to the earth through the means of ice covered meteors crashing into the earth and then melting. Continual events like this caused the earth to become larger and larger and increase in the amount of water. Life eventually formed from an opinion of one scientist. Another scientist theoretically states that the first form of life can from space and slowly adapted to earth’s atmosphere and mutated into so many different species.

The natures of these two were revealed greatly while travelling. Towards the start they were both hidden and it seemed that they were more serious towards each other. They each had hidden feelings thought were only thought about. But this ended when they reached a so called breakpoint of themselves.
During their expedition or journey to the center of the earth, they travelled very deep and Harry journeyed a little too fast and got carried away. He would turn back and find no one, retraced his steps and was unsuccessful at finding his uncle and the guide. He was officially lost. He became scared and thought that death was the only point left for him but was relieved when he heard the voice of the professor. He woke up seeing bright light thinking that he was at the surface showing that he did not wish to go on the expedition. When he finds out that he is still underground, he rises to amazement as to what he see and wants to continue the journey. His character is very confusing to a point.
The professor shows himself when he loses Harry. It seems from the beginning that he cares not except to go to the end of his journey and discover what he believes in. But when he loses Harry he shows that he cares so much for others and not only for himself or his own needs, as he tells Harry that he shed many tears in fear that he lost him.

People should make sacrifices for the benefit of others. most scientific discoveries were made by sacrifices, whether it was time, family, or even life. Without people making sacrifices, there would be no progression or advancements in the knowledge of science. We would not be where we are now, in this technological world without the people who dedicated all their time and life.

The lightbulb was probably the greatest advancement in history. Thomas Edison, the great inventor of human history, sacrificed his time to develop the filaments and concept of the lightbulb. Now in the current time, nearly everything that is related to electricity, functions according to Thomas Edison’s concept. Without his sacrifice we would be lost in a dark world.

Everyday, at least someone makes a sacrifice to support the advancements in science. There are a countless number of people who are suffering from a disease and donate themselves as a test patient to scientists developing a cure. none of this goes to waste even though there might be fifty people dying every day. most knew they were going to die, but they died hoping that they would have been cured or at least go down in history as a patient that helped to develop a cure to save the lives of millions.

There are still many things in this world that are unknown to us; cures yet to be developed or discovered and theories to be proved. A great number of people are still dying from AIDS and Malaria and many more diseases. Technology has not been made yet to fully remove a tumor from someone. only with more sacrificed time and lives along with dedication can we become a more knowledgable society. only those who are open and unselfish would be able to understand and coincide with what is happening. Global appreciation should be given to them.
